With the surge in COVID-19 cases, India seems to be witnessing the highest coronavirus contact rate globally, with one infected person infecting another one every two days.
The huge jump in contact rate this month is a concern, as per the Indian Supermodel for COVID-19. The new analysis through the model, started by the Department of Science of Technology, has predicted the peak of the second wave by mid-April, when daily cases will reach 70,000 to 80,000, largely driven by the state of Maharashtra.
